For the Love of Indigo

MUSEjar

11:00 - 1:00pm

Workshop Tent 1

MUSEjar will be hosting a small indigo workshop, teaching the basics of Shibori! Originating from Japan, the word comes from the verb root shiboru, "to wring, squeeze, press." Often lumped into the category of tie-dye, this ancient technique is more about patterns created from folding, binding, and resisting. Using a small kit equipped with a variety of tools, you will create a one of a kind piece to take home!

All workshops are held on Saturday, August 3rd, at Buffalo Outer Harbor. They are free, open to the public, and require no pre-registration, but rotating seating is limited. Simply drop in during the time listed above, wait for an empty seat, learn a new skill and take home your creation!
